In addition to cash and check, we are able to accept gifts of marketable securities such as stocks, mutual funds and distributions from IRA accounts.
Consider us as an option for fulfilling your Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) by using your IRA to make what's called a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD). Rather than taking your RMD and paying taxes on it, you can make a QCD and fulfill your RMD requirement for the year. To be credited for the current tax year, contributions must be received by December 31st.
Gifting appreciated securities can be a tax-advantaged way to support the Church. This can allow you to avoid paying the capital gains taxes on your gifted securities, while contributing the full dollar-for-dollar market value of your investment.
Estate gifts and bequests will help us to carry on the work of the Church, while providing a lasting and meaningful legacy.
